Confident, Curious, and Ready for School
School Readiness Program (3–5 Years)
Choosing a preschool or kindergarten isn’t just about ticking boxes - it’s about finding a place where your child will feel safe, seen, and inspired to grow.
Our School Readiness Program, designed for children aged 3 to 5 years, helps children develop the confidence, curiosity and skills they need for a successful transition to primary school.
It’s the final stage in our exclusive Lifelong Learning Curriculum - Australia’s most advanced early education framework - and it’s delivered by qualified early childhood teachers and experienced educators who get to know your child and support them every step of the way.
“Children who attend high-quality early childhood education programs are more likely to succeed in school, gain higher qualifications, and enjoy better health and employment outcomes later in life.”

Learning That Matters: Project-Based and Child-Led
At the heart of our School Readiness Program is project-based learning - a dynamic, play-based approach that encourages children to ask questions, explore ideas, and work together to solve problems.
Whether they’re building a model bridge or exploring the life cycle of a butterfly, your child will:
- Take the lead in their learning
- Develop independence and creative thinking
- Learn to collaborate and communicate with peers
- Build resilience, responsibility, and self-esteem
Our educators guide children through real-world investigations, helping them develop critical school-ready skills in a way that’s engaging and meaningful.
Exploring Technology with Purpose
Children also develop early digital literacy through educator-guided digital experiences that support learning in fun, age-appropriate ways.
We use programs like:
- Mathseeds – to develop foundational maths skills
- Reading Eggs – to support phonics, vocabulary and early reading
- Creative digital tools – for drawing, storytelling, and problem-solving
Technology is thoughtfully integrated into our learning environment, always balanced with hands-on experiences and personal connection.
Enrichment Programs That Inspire
Alongside our core curriculum, we offer a suite of enrichment programs that broaden your child’s understanding of the world and themselves.
- Positive Living Skills - Supports children’s mental health and emotional wellbeing, building resilience, empathy and confidence.
- Big Thinkers STEM - Explores science, technology, engineering and maths in fun, hands-on ways, encouraging experimentation, observation, and logic.
- Aussie Wildlife Champions - Teaches environmental awareness and a love of nature through wildlife-focused learning experiences.
These programs are woven into your child’s week to make learning more engaging, holistic and fun.
Preparing for a Smooth Transition to School
Starting school is about more than letters and numbers, it’s about confidence, independence, and emotional readiness.
By the time your child graduates our School Readiness Program, they’ll be prepared to:
- Manage routines and transitions
- Work in groups and take turns
- Express their needs clearly
- Follow instructions and classroom expectations
- Take responsibility for their belongings
- Approach new experiences with curiosity and confidence
We also work with local schools and families to support your child’s individual transition plan, so they walk into their first day ready to shine.
The Final Step in the Lifelong Learning Curriculum
Our School Readiness Program is the final stage in the Lifelong Learning Curriculum - a journey that starts in the nursery and evolves each year to support your child’s growth and development. Each stage builds on the last to help your child become a capable, confident learner, ready for school and beyond.

A Day in the Life of a Preschooler or Kindergartener at Milestones
Our preschool and kindergarten days are designed to give your child the best of both worlds - a government-funded Kindergarten or Preschool program, delivered by qualified teachers, wrapped within the convenience of long day care hours.

Your child’s day includes a funded Kindergarten or Preschool program, plus wraparound care covered by the Child Care Subsidy.
Here’s what a typical day might look like:
Your child enjoys all the benefits of a formal Kindergarten or Preschool program, plus the consistency, extended hours, and familiarity of being in one nurturing environment.
