How We Keep Food Safe in Our Centres
Keeping food safe is one of our most important daily responsibilities. Our kitchen teams follow strict standards for handling, preparing, cooking and storing food, in line with national early childhood requirements.
What this includes
- Food is cooked to a safe internal temperature to eliminate harmful bacteria
- Reheated food is brought back to a safe temperature before serving, and only reheated once
- Staff are trained in food handling, hygiene and safe storage practices
- Regular checks and documentation help keep food safety front of mind, every day
This approach follows guidance from ACECQA, the national authority for early childhood education and care quality standards.
