Milestones Early Learning Budgewoi offers quality child care and early education for children aged 0–5 years in a warm, friendly, and purposefully designed setting. Located at 1–3 Scenic Circle and open Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm, our long day care centre is a trusted choice for local families looking for a safe, engaging, and supportive place for their child to learn and grow.
Our passionate educators are dedicated to creating a nurturing environment where every child feels valued and encouraged to explore the world around them. With recently updated outdoor play areas, thoughtfully designed indoor learning spaces, and a range of developmentally appropriate equipment, children enjoy fun-filled days of discovery, creativity, and connection.
As part of our daily program, children benefit from healthy, freshly prepared meals made onsite, as well as regular incursions with our much-loved “Grandfriends” and strong ties to local schools, including Budgewoi Public School. Our worm farm and sustainability initiatives spark curiosity about the environment and encourage children to develop a sense of responsibility and care for the world around them.

Meet Our Team
Hello, My name is Leah Schmarr and I am the Centre Director of Milestones Budgewoi.
I am Diploma qualified and have worked in the Childcare Industry for approx. 11 years and been a Centre Director for 18 months which I love.
I love working in the Childcare Industry, creating safe and nurturing relationships with both children and their families. Watching the children reach milestones and develop their learning, with so many “wow” moments along the way. Their personalities shine and not one day is ever the same ! I enjoy being a leader to my team and making them realise their full potential, smashing goals along the way.
Milestones Early Learning Budgewoi is a busy vibrant child care centre offering 46 places. We're a friendly and supportive team that offers career and professional development and also offers opportunities to study further. We have 3 rooms across the centre and have a large outdoor area for the children to explore which the children love. We're a centre with a small group of fun loving educators who makes it their mission to provide a safe and nurturing environment, inclusive of all children. Our Programs and Centre Events are carefully organised with the community and children’s interest at the forefront. We deliver the Life Long Learning Approach from healthy Beginnings to Early Experiences and onto School readiness making sure each child has the opportunity to grow and develop in their early learning years.

Babies (0-1 years)
Healthy Beginnings Program
Grounded in attachment theory and the relationship practices, this program focuses on building secure, responsive relationships between babies and their educators. With nurturing care and emotional attunement, we support babies’ overall wellbeing and development.
Toddlers (1-3 years)
Early Experiences Program
Inspired by the Abecedarian Approach, our toddler program emphasises language-rich interactions, such as conversational reading and learning games. These early experiences build the foundations for strong communication, social skills, and cognitive growth.
Preschool or Kindergarten (3-5 years)
School Readiness Program
Through Project-Based Learning, children are encouraged to explore big ideas, solve problems, and collaborate with others. This hands-on, inquiry-driven approach develops critical thinking, independence, and a love of learning that lasts.
