Meet Our Team
My name is Clara Alzate, and I’m proud to be the Centre Manager at Milestones Mudgee. With more than 10 years of experience in early childhood education across New South Wales, Western Australia, Victoria, and large Sydney services, I bring a deep passion for quality learning and a strong commitment to the wellbeing of children, families, and educators.
Six years ago, I stepped into leadership roles and discovered how much I value guiding teams and supporting high‑quality practice. As Centre Manager, I hold a genuine sense of responsibility in ensuring every family feels welcomed, respected, and supported from the moment they walk through our doors. I understand the trust families place in us each day, and I approach that trust with care, professionalism, and integrity.
I am especially passionate about educator wellbeing. I believe that when educators feel supported, confident, and valued, they are best placed to build strong, secure relationships with children and families. A team that feels empowered creates a safe, inclusive, and high‑quality learning environment, one where children can thrive socially, emotionally, and developmentally.
Alongside managing the centre, I also take pride in my role as an Educational Leader. I work closely with our educators to bring the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) to life in meaningful, child‑centred ways. This includes supporting curriculum planning, intentional teaching, observations, and ongoing reflection so that our programs genuinely respond to each child’s interests, strengths, and needs. I am committed to collaborative practice and continuous improvement, ensuring our approach to learning remains authentic, inclusive, and aligned with the National Quality Framework.
