Our Lifelong Learning Curriculum
Healthy Beginnings
Babies aged 0-1 years
Your baby will start their lifelong learning journey in a safe, nurturing environment. Educators will:
- Develop strong, positive bonds;
- Encourage confidence to explore new surroundings;
- Spark curiosity through sensory experiences; and
- Establish helpful routines that support health and wellbeing.
Early Experiences
Toddlers aged 1-3 years
Your toddler will enjoy an exciting environment in which to explore and experiment as their confidence and social skills emerge. Educators will:
- Introduce literacy and numeracy through learning games;
- Support self expression through language skills; and
- Develop social and friendship skills in group settings.
School Readiness
Children aged 3-5 years
Your child will be given the very best start before they begin Primary School where they will delve into enquiry based project work, and literacy and numeracy programs. Educators will:
- Guide self-awareness, self-help skills and socialisation;
- Investigate literacy, mathematics, science, technology and the arts;
- Stimulate creativity, deeper thinking and problem solving; and
- Prepare children for classroom environments through play-based preschool and kindergarten programs.

What makes you passionate about working in childcare? What makes you passionate about early childhood? I am so passionate about the future of Australia and that future includes children that we are teaching in our wonderful, small, home-like centre at milestones early learning Young. Every day I come in to work and see the children’s faces with big smiles, hear their laughter and the discussions that take place, either spontaneously or through our Educators intentional teaching and scaffolding, it is by all means the best start to the day! It is such a privilege to be a part of children’s early years and guide them from 6 weeks until they are ready to begin their primary school education at 6 years old. We as educators play such an important role in a child’s development and it gives them a head start for a lifelong love of learning.
Why do you believe your centre is an excellent choice for parents seeking the best childcare? Our centre is so different from most long day care’s in Young; it is a small (59 placed) centre that has been remodelled from and old giving it a homely feel. It is very open to providing opportunities for constant communication and discussions for educators and children alike. All educators are fully trained by government organisations and are passionate about their careers and the important roles they play in your children’s lives. At milestones we provide all meals ranging from morning tea to afternoon tea that are nutritionally based meals and super tasty. The educators find new idea’s to promote the love of learning for each child’s individual learning needs and use their interests and knowledge to do so. Our centre offers so much more and the best way to understand this is to come down and visit us! We always welcome walk throughs or booked tours and are proud to show everyone what our beautiful centre has to offer!
