Milestones Early Learning Riverstone Rise provides childcare and kindergarten for families living in Boyne Island, Tannum Sands and surrounding communities in the Gladstone region.
Located at 6 Corimba Parade within the Riverstone Rise estate, our long day care centre offers a calm and welcoming environment where children aged 6 weeks to 5 years can feel safe, supported and excited to learn. Open Monday to Friday from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm, we support local families with flexible care throughout the week.
Our indoor and outdoor learning spaces are designed to encourage curiosity, exploration and confidence. Children enjoy time in our large playground, group learning experiences with their peers and fresh, nutritious meals prepared onsite each day.
Through our Lifelong Learning Curriculum, children participate in engaging experiences across early literacy, STEM and creative play. Our government-approved kindergarten program supports children aged 3-5 as they prepare for the transition to primary school.
Families appreciate the peaceful location of our centre within the Riverstone Rise community, surrounded by parks and open space while still being only a short drive from Boyne Island and Tannum Sands schools and local services.

Meet Our Team
My name is Emma Cocking, and I’m proud to lead the team at Milestones Riverstone Rise in Boyne Island. With a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care and more than 23 years of experience, beginning as a trainee at just 17, I have devoted my career to creating nurturing, meaningful connections with children, families and the wider community.
One of the things I love most about working in early childhood education is the lasting bonds that form far beyond the walls of the centre. It’s one of the greatest joys of my role to be out with my own family and run into children and families I’ve cared for over the years, greeting each other like old friends, sharing a smile, a conversation, and a genuine connection. These moments reinforce the trust, secure attachments, and deep relationships that I value so much.
At Milestones Riverstone Rise, we are incredibly proud of our strong commitment to the Boyne Island community, a focus that began as a goal in our centre philosophy and has grown into one of our greatest strengths. Our children regularly enjoy visits from the Fire Brigade, Police, and local Dental services, helping them feel connected, confident, and engaged with the world around them.
Our centre is safely nestled within a peaceful housing estate, away from busy roads and surrounded by beautiful parks and recreation areas. It’s the perfect environment for children to explore, play, and grow within nature. Many families from Boyne Island and nearby Tannum Sands choose our centre for its quiet, safe location and strong sense of community.
