Milestones Early Learning Riverstone Rise provides childcare and kindergarten for families living in Boyne Island, Tannum Sands, Benaraby and surrounding Gladstone region communities.
Located at 6 Corimba Parade within the Riverstone Rise estate, our long day care centre offers a calm and welcoming environment where children aged 6 weeks to 5 years feel safe, supported and excited to learn. Open Monday to Friday from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm, we support local families with flexible care throughout the week.
Our indoor and outdoor learning spaces are designed to encourage curiosity, exploration and confidence. Children enjoy time in our large playground, group learning experiences with their peers and fresh, nutritious meals prepared onsite each day.
Through our Lifelong Learning Curriculum, children participate in engaging experiences across early literacy, STEM and creative play. Our government-approved kindergarten program supports children aged 3-5 as they prepare for the transition to school, with many families continuing on to local schools such as Boyne Island State School and Tannum Sands State School.
Families value our peaceful location within the Riverstone Rise community, surrounded by parks and open space, while still being only a short drive to Tannum Sands shopping precinct and local beaches.

My name is Emma Cocking, and I’m proud to lead the team at Milestones Riverstone Rise in Boyne Island.
With a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care and more than 23 years of experience, beginning as a trainee at just 17, I have devoted my career to building meaningful connections with children, families and the wider community.
One of the things I love most about this profession is the lasting relationships that continue well beyond a child’s time at the centre. Seeing families out in the community and reconnecting years later is incredibly special, and speaks to the strong bonds and trust we build together.
At Milestones Riverstone Rise, we are deeply connected to the Boyne Island community. Children regularly enjoy visits from local services such as the Fire Brigade, Police and dental professionals, helping them feel confident and connected to the world around them.
Our centre is nestled within a peaceful estate, surrounded by parks and open spaces - a calm, natural environment where children can explore, play and grow. Many families choose our centre for its quiet location and strong sense of community.
