Meet Our Cairns Early Learning Team
With nearly a decade of experience in early childhood education, Jess Jansz leads the team at Milestones Early Learning Smithfield with warmth, curiosity and a love for nature.
Holding a Bachelor of Education (Birth to Five Years), Jess is passionate about creating rich, outdoor learning experiences that reflect the beautiful natural environment of Far North Queensland.
Her journey into early childhood education began after becoming a parent herself, giving her a deep appreciation for the early years and the importance of creating a safe, supportive and engaging environment for every child.
At Milestones Smithfield, Jess leads a team committed to inclusive and holistic learning. Children enjoy hands-on experiences in our veggie garden and regular incursions with community partners such as Healthy Harold, Captain Carrot, Roaming Wild, the local fire brigade and dentistry students.
These experiences help build strong connections between children, families and the wider community, creating a truly enriching place to learn and belong.
