Families love our strong ties to the local community, whether it’s our veggie gardens teaching sustainability, our location next to Unity College, or being just across from the much-loved Izba Café playground. Meet Our Caloundra Early Learning Team
My name is Marilyn Fahey, and I’m proud to be the Centre Manager at Milestones Early Learning Caloundra. With a Diploma in Community Services (Children’s Services), an Advanced Diploma in Community Sector Management, and 26 years of experience in early childhood education, I am passionate about creating a welcoming environment where children, families, and educators feel connected and supported.
The reason I have remained in the sector for so many years is simple: I value relationships. I believe strong connections between children, families, educators, and the wider community are at the heart of a positive early learning experience. Building these relationships helps create a sense of belonging and trust, allowing children to feel secure, confident, and ready to learn.
One of the things I love most about Milestones Caloundra is our strong connection to the local community. We enjoy working closely with local families and businesses and are always looking for ways to strengthen those relationships. We also welcome regular visits from a local dentist, helping children learn about healthy habits in a fun and familiar environment.
Our centre is fortunate to have a dedicated and experienced team, with many of our educators having been part of the Milestones Caloundra community for more than 10 years. This continuity provides children and families with the comfort of familiar faces, strong relationships, and a consistent, nurturing environment where children can thrive.
