Meet Our Team
Hi, my name is Thelanka Ekanayaka, and I am the Centre Manager at Milestones Point Cook.
I have over 12 years of experience in the Early Childhood Education industry and hold a postgraduate diploma in Early Childhood Education, along with postgraduate studies in International Relations. My passion lies in fostering children’s learning and development, and I enjoy every moment of supporting their growth.
Creating a warm, welcoming space for children and families is something I deeply value. I believe children are citizens of today, and the positive environments we build now will help shape the leaders of tomorrow. What brings me joy is connecting with families as they walk through our doors, getting to know them, and embracing the diversity they bring to our service. Every new family offers opportunities to learn, grow, and enrich our community. As an early childhood professional, I believe building meaningful connections is essential in creating an inclusive and welcoming environment for everyone.
Originally from Sri Lanka, I moved to Australia 15 years ago. I love traveling with my two boys, aged 4 and 9, and creating lasting memories along the way. As a mother, I understand the importance of trust when parents place their children in our care, and I share the same expectations for a safe, nurturing environment.
Our centre is an excellent choice for families seeking high-quality childcare. We have passionate, experienced, and dedicated educators who take the time to create an inviting space for everyone. Our centre’s philosophy reflects the values we share as a team, working together to support one another and building strong partnerships with families. Many of our educators have been with us for years, fostering consistency and trust within the community.
