Building Early Literacy and Numeracy Through Play

Mathseeds and Reading Eggs are interactive, game-based learning programs included as part of our Lifelong Learning Curriculum School Readiness Program for children aged 3-5 years.

Designed by education experts, both programs make early maths and reading genuinely enjoyable, building skills and confidence in a playful, self-paced environment.

Families with children enrolled in the School Readiness Program receive full access to both programs at no additional cost. Ask your Centre Manager for login details.

Mathseeds

Mathseeds builds foundational numeracy skills through interactive lessons, games and challenges. Children develop early maths understanding at their own pace, covering counting, patterns, shapes, measurement and problem-solving, all in a format that feels more like play than learning.

Reading Eggs

Reading Eggs is an award-winning literacy program that helps children learn to read through phonics, sight words, vocabulary and early comprehension. Engaging songs, rewards and interactive activities keep children motivated as they build the reading foundations they’ll carry into primary school.

Technology Used Purposefully

Both programs are used as part of a balanced approach to learning, always alongside hands-on play, movement and real-world exploration. This aligns with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), particularly Outcome 4 (confident and involved learners) and Outcome 5 (effective communicators), as well as the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline’s emphasis on technology as a tool for engagement and discovery.
