Meet Our Lake Albert Early Learning Team
My name is Jodie Crossley, and I am the Centre Manager at Milestones Early Learning Lake Albert. Over my almost 30 years of experience, I have seen that strong, respectful relationships are at the heart of quality early childhood education. I am passionate about creating a welcoming and supportive environment where children, families, and educators feel valued, heard, and connected. I recognise that families are children’s first and most influential teachers, and I am committed to building genuine partnerships based on trust, open communication, and mutual respect. By working alongside families, I strive to support their strengths, honour their knowledge of their child, and work together to achieve the best outcomes for children.
I also believe that supporting and empowering educators is essential to creating a positive learning environment for children. Through collaboration, mentoring, shared reflection, and a culture of continuous learning, I aim to nurture a team where educators feel confident, respected, and inspired in their practice. I value the unique skills and perspectives each person brings and believe that strong teamwork creates a strong foundation for children's learning and wellbeing.
My approach is guided by Bronfenbrenner’s Ecological Systems Theory and Bowlby’s Attachment Theory, which emphasise the importance of relationships and the many influences that shape a child's development. I strive to create warm, nurturing environments where children feel safe, secure, and a true sense of belonging. I encourage curiosity, wonder, and a connection to the natural world, supporting children to develop confidence, resilience, responsibility, and respect for themselves, others, and their environment.
