A casual day (sometimes called occasional care) lets you book an extra day of care outside your regular schedule - no fuss, no paperwork, just flexibility when you need it.
Casual days are available depending on centre capacity and include everything your family already loves about Milestones:

How to Book a Casual Day
It’s simple and quick to organise:
- Speak with your Centre Manager - they’ll confirm availability and secure your child’s booking.
- Book it yourself in the Xap app - open the app, go to Bookings, tap the green +, choose Casual, select your dates, and confirm.
You’ll receive a confirmation once your casual day is approved.
Will the Child Care Subsidy Apply?
If you’re eligible for the Child Care Subsidy (CCS), it may apply to casual bookings too, helping to reduce your out-of-pocket costs. You can check your details anytime through MyGov or chat with your Centre Manager for guidance.
