Milestones Early Learning Celebrate Valentine’s Day

Our centres celebrated Valentine’s Day on Tuesday, the 14th of February, by creating Valentine’s Day-based activities that are designed to provide meaningful learning opportunities whilst having fun!

This week some of our Milestones Centres in Queensland provided Valentines based activities for their children, families, and team members.

Milestones Early Learning The Lakes organized card-making for the children in their 3-year-old Kindergarten and Junior Kindy 1 and 2 rooms.

The children loved making cards as it promotes the development of fine motor and sensory skills but also is a fun and safe activity for the children to enjoy.

Melissa Laundess, Assistant Centre Manager at Milestones Early Learning The Lakes, said, “We believe making cards for our wonderful parents showed that we appreciate and respect everything they do for their children and families.”

Milestones Early Learning Aspley treated their Educators and Teachers to some Valentine's Day Recognition with lighthearted Valentine’s Day-themed appreciation notes and sweet treats!

Milestones Early Learning Sunshine Beach had a fun-filled day! With various Valentine's Day creative activities and delicious treats for the children!

Sarah Pedvin, Assistant Centre Manager at Milestones Early Learning Sunshine Beach, shared, “Celebrating Valentines Day was all about sharing the love with our children, our families, and our one-of-a-kind team.

“In the busy lives that we all lead, Our families are our Why.

“Our supportive families and the special relationships we have built make us enjoy coming to work every day.” Said, Sarah.

Sarah Pedvin continued, “On offer to our families on Valentine’s day were fruit smoothies and a cupcake for their drive. The Children felt the love throughout the entire centre as they engaged in arts and crafts inspired by love and enjoyed a sweet afternoon treat. Our hard-working team enjoyed a morning tea spread to show how much we value each of them, their dedication, and the efforts we see on the show daily.

“It takes a village to raise a village. We know the saying goes, it takes a village to raise a child, but at Sunshine Beach, we work with our families to ensure each child is loved and nurtured in their village here and at home.”

Milestones Early Learning Meridan Plains allowed their families to thank the Educators leading up to Valentine's with a foyer display and thank you cards for families to complete. As a thank you, the team at Meridan Pains provided their families with a lovely afternoon tea.
